The second International Basketball Couch Seminar in Riga

In July 2009 Sports Development center in collaboration with Tuta Latvia organized International Basketball Couch seminar. We had well known speakers like David Blatt and Valentin Melnichuk. It was recognized as powerful tool for basketball couches. Based on successful experience we are glad to announce same kind of seminar this year as well.

The second International Basketball Couch Seminar will take part on June 3 and 4, 2010 at Secondary School Nr49, Riga, Latvia. Based on survey the most demanded themes are methods of different defense, offence and players physical development. As speakers again we invited well known specialists in European basketball.  

Jasmin Repeša (coach of Treviso Benneton and Croatian National team), Marcus Lindner (athletic trainer of Brose Basket Bamberg and German National Team) and Indrek Visnapuu (coach of Tartu Rock). As special guests are invited Sports Laboratory and Martins Martinsons. Sports Lab will share their experience with juniors - methods and tests to monitor physical health during their growing and development. Mr.Martinsons who is leadership and motivational trainer, consultants and board member of ICF Latvia will introduce the new thing in Latvian sports - couching theory - how this could influence basketball teams

Organizers hope for interest from different level basketball coaches and students not only in Latvia but also from neighboring countries.
